Destash Rocks is built on trust between collectors. These are the values that make it work.
Tell the truth about what you're selling. Use the disclosure system honestly — if it's heated, mark it heated. If there's a crack, mention it. If you're not sure about something, say so. Your reputation depends on it, and so does the trust other collectors place in this community.
Take clear photos in good light. If there are flaws, photograph them too. Write descriptions like you're explaining the piece to a friend who trusts your judgment.
Pack specimens carefully — double-box fragile pieces and use plenty of padding. Ship within your stated timeframe. Respond to messages promptly and professionally. If something goes wrong, work it out directly and fairly.
Price your pieces reasonably. This isn't eBay — we're collectors helping other collectors find good pieces, not trying to maximize profit on every sale.
Pay promptly when you buy something. Don't ghost on purchases — if you change your mind, say so. Ask questions before buying, not after. Remember that most sellers are individuals like you, not businesses with customer service departments.
If you receive a piece that's not as described, reach out to the seller first. Most problems can be resolved with a simple conversation.
This platform is for individual collectors rehoming pieces from their personal collections. It's not for dealers, wholesalers, or commercial inventory selling. Don't flood the marketplace with hundreds of identical pieces. Don't drop-ship from overseas suppliers.
Anyone can buy here — collectors, dealers, resellers, gift buyers, everyone. We only restrict who can sell, not who can purchase.
Don't share personal information about other users. Don't screenshot private messages. Don't dig around trying to figure out where someone lives or works. We generate shipping labels through the platform specifically so you never need to share home addresses.
What happens in direct messages should stay in direct messages. Keep private conversations private.
If someone violates these guidelines or acts in bad faith, report it to us. Don't take matters into your own hands with public callouts or retaliatory behavior. We'll investigate and handle it appropriately.
The reporting feature exists for a reason. Use it when you need to, but don't abuse it for disagreements or buyer's remorse.
Most problems get resolved through conversation. When they don't, we step in. Depending on the situation, that might mean mediation, temporary restrictions, or permanent removal from the platform.
We don't enjoy enforcing rules, but we will when necessary to protect the community. Our goal is to keep this a place where collectors can trust each other.
Thank you for being here and for caring about doing this right. That's what makes Destash Rocks worth building.
